Eulogy to the "Spirit of Christmas"

I really don't know how many shopping days are left till Christmas, but I do know that we should all stop and take a moment to re-align our thinking and re-assess what's really important in our lives.

The unexpected and premature passing of a good friend of mine forced those types of thoughts to the surface in me.

So, here's some tips about life for you all to ponder as we prepare to celebrate Christ's Birthday.

John Lennon

1940-1980. British musician.

· Life is what happens while you're busy making other plans.

Eleanor Roosevelt

1884-1962. American columnist, lecturer and humanitarian.

If life were predictable it would cease to be life, and be without flavor.

Abraham Lincoln

1809-1865. 16th president of the United States (1861--65), who preserved the Union during the American Civil War and brought about the emancipation of the slaves.

· And in the end, it's not the years in your life that count. It's the life in your years.

Bruce Hosking

· Take life as you find it, but don't leave it that way

· Ride it like you stole it

And finally, I'd like to invite you all to the celebration of the life of Big Jim Salsman.
