MOOD OF THE MOMENT. The Big Picture. Jupiter goes conjunct Pluto the week before Christmas. It happens every 13 years. This cycle typically shows the ebb and flow of ideological and financial power battles in society and the disproportionate power exerted by small secret groups. It also has to do with changes in collective beliefs. The last time it happened was in December 1994. That was the year of 'Whitegate', the scandal of the Clintons' real estate dealings. That was also the year of the 'Tequila Crisis' when Mexico devalued the peso, pegged it to the dollar, and suffered the worst economic crisis of its entire history and affected the entire world economy. It was only saved by a $50 billion loan from the U.S. This time it happens in opposition to the Venus-Jupiter-Sun in the Second House of money in the chart of the United States. Time to Pay the Piper. The US is a +$7 trillion debtor nation, with most of it owed to China and Japan, and another +$3 trillion still yet to be paid on the Iraqi Massacre. Coincidentally, Saturn goes conjunct Bush' Mars in the 2nd House at the same time. As goes the leader, so goes the nation. Pluto continues this influence for another 7 years. Good idea not to depend upon your Social Security. The Personal Picture. It's the Big Truth or the Big Lie. One of them will be revealed whether you want to hear it or not. Pluto/Neptune and Pluto/Jupiter are the two major aspects of Enlightenment. Out of the mud sprouts the lotus. ARIES. People sometimes think of you as self-centered, but the truth of the matter is that your potential is to be Centered in your Self. You are the fire that feels its own flames. You are the starter that ignites the engine, not the trunk that carries the load. This is a time when you may be frustrated by demands of family or home. Other people in your life want you to think of them and their feelings first and now you have to consider how far from your Self do you have to go. The fact is that every eagle needs a nest from which to fly and it has to be built one stick at a time. TAURUS. It is now possible for you to achieve the highest level of human consciousness ever imagined by mankind -- contentment. It is to appreciate what you already have. It is to be comfortable with what you have got. It is to not be tense by the desire to want anything else or feeling heavy by having too much of what you do not want. It is to be weightless and gravity free so your spirit can free itself from the prison of the flesh. It is Neptune square your sign and the less you know what is going on, the better it is. GEMINI. Restless, restless, with lead boots on your feet. Remember the dream you had of running, running, but not getting anywhere? Part of that is because when you are dreaming, your mind is active, but your body is physiologically paralyzed so it won't move. There is the urge for something new in your life, but debt or duty is holding you back. Spending, spending, but on necessities and no satisfaction from that which you buy. Somehow the task is to use what you already know to do something new and to make something new out of what you already know. CANCER. Going backwards is just another way to travel to where you have already been. One step forward and two steps backwards is the theme of the day. The more you get things done, the more there is to do. Mars in Cancer going retrograde puts the idea of Progress into the category of wishful thinking along with the Easter Bunny. Frustration if you pursue accomplishment and completion. Moody and changeable. Adrenalized emotions. Go with the flow and, like Osho did, let the whirlpool suck you down and bring you up again. LEO. Stirrings in the unconscious mind make demands for your conscious mind to remember what it has tried so dedicatedly to forget or not see. Who you know is who they are not and who you have been never happened. The ego evaporates and ambition atrophies on the vine. It is a Neptune transit and it only happens for just a few years only once in your life. Its positive intention is to dissolve you into the oceanic unconscious collective so that you become immersed into everythingness and you are never alone again. Faith is both your salvation and your tool. VIRGO. Welcome to the Saturn transit in your sign that will last off and on until October 2009. It happens every 29 years. It is not such a bad guy that the books will tell you it is. You still get what you want, but it takes twice as long with twice the effort and half the result. It is a knuckle down time to get organized and stabilized and to pay attention to earthly affairs. It is useful to you now to pick up the pieces that the Pluto transit left behind. It gives you a self-sufficiency and not-needyness that is beautiful to behold. LIBRA. You yourself are the artwork and you are the painter and you are the brush and you are the canvas and you are the colors of the painting that is drawn. Venus transit in Libra and Venus is the ruler of your sign. Buy new clothes and dress yourself pretty because it is this expression of beauty in you that empowers others to see the beauty in themselves. Sorry you have to work so hard and nothing seems to get done, but when Uranus goes into Aries 2010-2011, you will probably chuck it all anyway. SCORPIO. Well, you have been wanting to know what was going on, thinking-talking-researching, and now you know. Can't hide anything from you. You will find out one way or the other. Now that your worst suspicions are confirmed, it is time to prepare. Your will to survive is impeccable. Most people will walk unknowingly into the gas chambers thinking how nice it is they are playing Beethoven at the gate. Not you. Your eyes are open now. Choose your friends carefully that are reliable and have a skill. Dig your rabbit hole to withstand the wind and don't waste your breath on the unbelievers. SAGITTARIUS Now that you have found the Truth, what do you do with the Truth. What do you do about it? It looks like you begin to share what you know. You don't keep it to yourself anymore. You've got souls to save and sufferings to soothe and slaves to set free. To those with eyes to see, you will shine. To those with ears to hear, your voice will be a sermon or a song. To the rest, you will be a noisy nuisance that disturbs their sleep. Let the Prophet within you arise and that silver tongue of yours turn into gold. CAPRICORN. Just because you have the solution, it doesn't the mean the problem will be solved. Just because you have the answer, it doesn't mean the question will be asked. Just because you see the picture, it doesn't mean the movie house will put it on the screen. It is the same as always. You don't have access to the tools. The people who own the resources to get the job done are busy frittering them away on the personal, the superficial and the mundane. Opposition from others who are doing it the wrong way. The stars are saying to have a pride in yourself anyway. AQUARIUS. You are who your friends are and everyone who breathes is your friend. You are a We instead of an I and you are the spirit of the future aspirations of the collective consciousness. More than anyone you are aware we are all part of the same puddle and that no one on this Earth is any more than a 20th cousin to any other man. It is this sense of unity and vision that it takes all kinds to make a pudding that is the gift you bring. One for all and all for one is your cry and a feeling of brotherhood among strangers is the response. PISCES: When Uranus went into Pisces in 2003, it became your karmic job to declare yourself an individual and to do what you want to do regardless of whether it pleases others or not. Change, change, unpredictable sudden shifts and now another transit giving a contradictory message to stabilize, get grounded, and do your duty. Saturn opposite Pisces last for a couple of years and its job is to give you a sense of aloneness and separation from others so that you can really really feel who you really are within the boundaries of your own skin. There will come a time when you can melt again.
